About Desrene Vernon-Brebnor

Desrene is an alumnus of Andrews University and a previous Communication professor. She returns to us after completing her PhD in Mass Communication and Media Studies at Howard University.
Desrene Vernon is a member of the Society of Adventist Communicators (SAC) and the Association for Education in Journalism & Mass Communication (AEJMC).
In 2009, she won the Inez Kaiser Graduate Student of Color Award from the Association for Education in Journalism & Mass Communication.
Desrene was a contributing author in 2010 to the women's devotional book, Love Out Loud of Review and Herald Publishing Association. She served as a member of the "Programs for Minority Business Development & Growth" research team in at the Communications Entrepreneurship Research and Resource Center (CERRC) in Washington, D.C.
And in 2011, Desrene completed her final dissertation: A Historical Analysis of Adventist World Radio's Impact in the East-Central Africa Division of the Seventh-day Adventist Church: A Case Study of Tanzania.
