About Cynthia V. Ward

Cynthia Ward joined the William and Mary law faculty in the fall of 1997.

Professor Ward is a graduate of Wellesley College. She received her J.D. from the Yale Law School, where she served as Articles Editor on the Yale Law Journal. Before coming to William and Mary she taught at Arizona State College of Law. Professor Ward's scholarly articles have appeared in Columbia Law ReviewNotre Dame Law ReviewNorthwestern University Law Review; and University of Chicago Law Review, among others. Her current research focuses on Criminal Law, Criminal Responsibility, Law and Psychology, and the law of sexual violence.
