About Collin Wick

Since September 2007, I have been a part of the Chemistry Program at Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, LA. In September 2021, I was promoted to Full Professor with an endowed Professorship from Century Link Telecom (which is headquartered in Monroe, LA). I am currently the Associate Dean of Graduate Studies for the College of Engineering and Science. My office is located in Bogard Hall room 222. My research efforts are primarily computational in nature, but have evolved significantly over the years. I have studied phase equilibria, properties of aqueous interfaces, polymer structure and properties, but more lately, I have been primarily working on solid-state systems. These include investigating battery electrodes, ceramic-metal interfaces, complex conjugated alloys, shape memory polymers, and developing molecular models, algorithms, and automated codes for these. I teach or have taught physical chemistry lectures and laboratories, statistical mechanics, environmental chemistry, polymer chemistry, advanced quantum mechanics, and general chemistry courses depending on the quarter. If you are more interested in me, personal and professional info are provided below.
