Children's Health Collaborators: Peter Wang

I am currently a Research Associate in the Division of Pediatric Surgery at London Health Sciences Centre. My doctoral training was in the area of Personality and Measurement Psychology with a specific research focus centered on resilience in aging and assessment of resilience in older adult populations. Throughout my graduate studies I also dabbled part-time in medical education research and quite enjoyed this change of pace. This led to my accepting a postdoctoral position in the Department of Surgery at Western University where I worked with a multidisciplinary team and brought a psychological perspective to research problems in the area of medical education and training. These strong connections led to my current position where I am responsible for implementing numerous research studies relevant to pediatric surgery.

Claire holds a MSc and a PhD in Psychology from Western University. Her doctoral work focused on personality assessment and psychometrics. Throughout her graduate studies, she collaborated with the Departments of Surgery and Medicine, and the Centre for Education Research and Innovation on multiple medical education projects. In 2021 she completed a postdoctoral associate position in the Department of Surgery working with Dr. Peter Wang on a large medical education-based project.
