About Christopher E. Courtheyn

Starting at Boise State University in 2020, Dr. Christopher E. Courtheyn is currently an Assistant Professor with the School of Public Service's Environmental Studies Program.  He earned a Ph.D. in Geography from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and a B.A. in Latin American Studies from the University of California at Berkeley. Dr. Courtheyn is a political geographer with a regional specialization in Latin America. His research interests include peace and conflict, globalization and development, race and ethnicity, and urban studies, to name a few. Dr. Courtheyn is a member of the American Association of Geographers, the International Studies Association, the Latin American Studies Association, and the Peace and Justice Studies Association.
