About Charles V. Schwab

Dr. Schwab conducts research projects concerning agricultural safety and health issues. Current projects include analysis of all tasks associated with biofeedstock production for hazard targets of personnel, equipment, environment, downtime, and product; identifying hazardous respiratory exposure limits associated with the production of biofeedstocks; investigate potential risk factor for farm children performing occupational carrying tasks to make recommendations regarding the loading and the container size used for performing theses tasks; reviewing the effectiveness of web-based delivery of tractor certification educational programming; paraprofessionals’ perceptions of agricultural risks; and the magnitudes and characteristics of grain coefficient of friction on denim. His other research includes efforts in the area of granular mechanics safety, injury and fatality identification and analysis, and safety education and intervention methods.
