About C. Scott Little PhD

Dr. Scott Little joined the Department of Pathology, Microbiology, Immunology, and Forensic Medicine as an Instructor and Research Associate in 2001 and is currently an Assistant Professor in the department. Prior to joining the Department, he was a Post-Doctoral Fellow in the Biomedical Sciences Department here at PCOM. He is director of the infectious process course, and co-director of the Neurosciences course.
Dr. Little's research interests include immunology and chronic infection associated with diseases of aging, specifically the role of the immune system in modulating disease severity and the role of Chlamydia pneumoniae infection in Alzheimer's Disease. Dr. Little also researches immune modulation in severe food allergy and the development of techniques to reprogram these cells to ameliorate this condition.
