About Benjamin J. Kwasa

Dr. Benjamin Kwasa joined Missouri S&T as Assistant Professor in the Engineering Management and Systems Engineering department in August 2018. He attained bachelor’s and doctoral degrees in Aerospace Engineering and a master's degree in Systems Engineering from Iowa State University.

While an undergraduate, he participated in various independent study projects on the design of UASs where his interest in design of Aerospace systems was nurtured. Throughout his undergraduate studies, he gained experience as an independent auto mechanic which provided ample opportunity to practice his engineering skills.  Research work involves incorporating organization design in the design of large-scale complex engineered systems in a value driven approach to multidisciplinary design optimization of these systems.
