About Barbara A. Wood

Barbara A. Wood, MLIS, joined PCOM in July 2020.  She is Associate Director of Education and Engagement of the PCOM Georgia Campus, and manages the Library Liaisons. Previously she served as Associate Professor Graduate Librarian for Health and Human Services at Kennesaw State University.  In addition she has served as Education Librarian at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, as Public Services Librarian at the University of South Florida School of Medicine. She began her career at the Public Libraries of Saginaw (Michigan) and earned her Masters Degree at Wayne State University.  Her research interests include Artificial Intelligence, job burnout, time-management, improving librarian presentation/teaching skills through peer feedback, and recruiting minorities to academic librarianship.
