About B. Kumaravadivelu

Educated at the Universities of Madras in India, Lancaster in England, and Michigan in the USA, Dr. Kumaravadivelu has specialized in language teaching methods, postmethod pedagogy, teacher education, classroom discourse analysis, and teaching culture. He is the author of Language Teacher Education for a Global Society (2012), Cultural Globalization and Language Education (2008), Understanding Language Teaching: From Method to Postmethod (2006), and Beyond Methods: Macrostrategies for Language Teaching (2003). In addition, he has published 30 research papers. He has delivered keynote/plenary addresses in international conferences held in Australia, Brazil, Colombia, England, Finland, Hong Kong, Mexico, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, and USA. He has served on the Editorial Board of reputed journals including TESOL Quarterly. He has also served the U.S. State Department as an English Language Specialist.
