About Audrey Beauvais

Dr. Audrey Beauvais joined Fairfield University as the Associate Dean for Undergraduate Programs in the Egan School of Nursing and Health Studies. She has experience in academic and hospital settings as well as in the insurance industry.  Immediately prior to Fairfield, Dr. Beauvais was an Assistant Professor, Director of the Undergraduate Nursing Program, and Coordinator of the Patient Care Services Administrative Track at Sacred Heart University’s School of Nursing.  For the 11 years prior to her employment at Sacred Heart University, Dr. Beauvais worked in various leadership positions at Stamford Hospital including nurse manager of the pediatric and psychiatric units, case manager, and performance improvement coordinator.  Dr. Beauvais was the Magnet Coordinator that successfully led Stamford Hospital to be recognized as a Magnet hospital. The Magnet Recognition ProgramTM is a prestigious designation administered by the American Nurses Credentialing Center for excellence in nursing practice.  Dr. Beauvais has earned a range of formal certifications in the areas of psychiatric and mental health nursing, nurse case management, clinical nurse leader, emotional intelligence, and trauma nursing.  She has been the recipient of several honors and distinctions including the Connecticut Nurses Association Diamond Jubilee Josephine A. Dolan Award for Outstanding Contribution to Nursing Education, the Connecticut League for Nursing Ruth M. Olson Excellence in Nurse Education Award, and Sacred Heart University’s Dean’s Leadership Award.  Dr. Beauvais holds a BSN from Fairfield University, an MSN and MBA from Sacred Heart University, and a DNP from Case Western Reserve University.
