About Arūnas Ošlapas

1991-present Western Washington University Currently employed as a tenured, Full Professor of Industrial Design in the Engineering and Design Department. Served as Industrial Design Program Director from 1991-2014 and responsibilities included teaching, curriculum development, student advisement, program promotion, budget, space allocation, and adjunct faculty coordination.

1999-present Red Rivet Studios The studio focuses on recycled metal art which includes woven metal baskets and metal wall quilts. Garnered over 18 awards ranging from Best of Show in national juried exhibitions to the Bellingham Mayor’s Art Award. Participate in various gallery shows and private commissions throughout the United States.
