Dr. Angelos Vilos is a Fertility Specialist with the Fertility Clinic at London Health Sciences Center. He is an Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry, Western University.
Dr. Vilos completed a four-year honors degree in Biochemistry (2002) at Western University, followed by a 4 year Medical degree (MD) at Meharry Medical College, Nashville Tennessee (2007). He completed his Fellowship of The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in Obstetrics and Gynecology (FRCSC, 2012) and his Post-graduate Fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (2014) at Western University. He Joined the Fertility Clinic and The Faculty of Obstetrics and Gynecology in 2014.
Dr. Vilos has published over 60 peer-reviewed papers and abstracts and has presented over 30 presentations at National and International Conferences. He has been the recipient of numerous awards and grants for his research projects including a Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) award.
Dr. Vilos is a member of several national and international Societies dedicated to the enhancement of Women’s health and reproduction. He is an ad-hoc reviewer for the Journal of Minimally Invasive Gynecology (JMIG) and on several advisory boards. Dr. Vilos is one of only a handful of Laser Certified Laparoscopic surgeons in Southwestern Ontario. His clinical and research interests include Assisted Reproductive Technologies, Ovulation Induction protocols, recurrent miscarriage, enhancing minimally invasive surgical techniques, uterine fibroids, septums and adhesions, tubal factor infertility, abnormal uterine bleeding, and endometrial implantation biomarkers.
