About Andrew Sikula, Sr.

Dr. Andrew Sikula, Sr. had over 50 years of experience in university higher education. He coined the terms 'Moral Management' and 'Moral Maximization' and devoted the majority of his research to the field of business ethics.

Dr. Sikula joined Marshall University in 1999 as the Director of the Graduate School of Management, Associate Dean of the Lewis College of Business and Distinguished Professor of Management and Business Ethics. He was a former Business Dean and Professor of Management at California State University, Northridge; California State University, Chico and Chicago State University. Dr. Sikula was also a former Professor of Management at the University of Illinois, Chicago and at Murray State University. He received his B.A. degree in Economics from Hiram College and his M.B.A. and Ph. D. degrees from Michigan State University.

Dr. Sikula was an internationally known author, educator and researcher in the areas of Human Resource Management and Business Ethics. In addition, he was the Founder and Executive Director of the Marshall University Doctor of Management Practice in Nurse Anesthesia degree program. Dr. Sikula passed away in 2013.
