About Amit Pathak

Amit Pathak worked up till December 2021 as a Research Fellow with the Australian Council for Educational Research (India). He was part of the data and psychometric analysis team. Amit designed, delivered and evaluated a variety of high-quality multi-site programs on literacy, access, school quality, and whole school transformation.

Prior to joining ACER, Amit served in key senior leadership roles where he led significant educational projects as well as team operations. He led the designing of India’s first online standardized reading assessment up from the idea-stage. He also led development of digital assets for a state project in the area of school quality assessment, which has been scaled-up nationally covering 600,000 schools across India.

Amit’s decade long experience in the education sector is augmented by a prior eight years of experience in the software industry where he designed and developed complex large-scale solutions.

Amit has a degree in Business Administration, a Diploma in Electrical Engineering, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Advanced Computing. Amit’s core areas of expertise are data engineering, data analysis, early grade literacy programs, large-scale assessment design, monitoring, impact evaluation, and system and process design.
