About Allan Taylor

Allan R. Taylor Jr. received the B.S. and M.S. degrees (with honors) in electrical engineering from Kettering University, Flint, MI, USA, in 2009 and 2011, respectively. He received the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering at Michigan State University, East Lansing, Michigan in 2019, under the direction of Dr. Fang Z. Peng. From 2011 to 2014, he was a Research Assistant within the Advanced Power Electronics Laboratory, Kettering University, working under the direction of Dr. Kevin Bai, focusing on a variety of projects including dc/dc converters, inverter power-factor-correction systems, wireless chargers, battery management systems, and motor drives. Since 2014, he has been a faculty member in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at Kettering University. His research interests include grid-connected, motor-drive, battery management, and alternative energy systems. He is a co-inventor on two U.S. patents. Dr. Taylor is a member of the IEEE Eta Kappa Nu and Phi Kappa Phi honor societies. He has co-authored over 20 IEEE journal & conference papers.
