About Adam Olsen

Adam R. Olsen, MS, PA-C, CCDS is an adjunct professor in the Physician Assistant Studies program in the College of Health Professions at Sacred Heart University, previously serving as Chair, Director and Clinical Assistant Professor in the program. In 2023 he completed his Doctor of Medical Science degree from A.T. Still University's Arizona School of Health Sciences (ATSU-ASHS).
Professor Olsen joined the university in March 2016 as a full-time principal faculty member for the PA Studies Department prior to matriculation of its first PA class in August 2016. Adam has been a clinically practicing PA in Cardiology for 17 years. He is an experienced clinical preceptor and has served an adjunct faculty member for the University of Bridgeport PA program. 
 
After joining the SHU PA program, he was involved with the development of the program’s Anatomy course and integrated the Anatomage Table into the PA curriculum, making SHU's PA program was the first PA program in CT to use the Anatomage Table for PA education. Adam has spoken nationally about integrating the Anatomage Table into curricula and his research interests include the use of digital technology for anatomy education. Adam became the Director of Didactic Education in March 2017 and was later named the Assistant Program Director in October 2018. Adam continues to work clinically for PriMed Cardiology/NEMG, an affiliate of Yale New Haven Health. He is also a ConnAPA (State PA society) board member and holds the position of Director at Large. Adam received both his PA degree and Master of Science degree from Touro College, School of Health Sciences.
