Sanja Bogojević joined Lund University in 2011, where she is an Associate Professor of Environmental Law. She teaches various courses within the field of EU Law and Environmental Law, as well as subjects on judicial and research methodologies. The European Commission has awarded her courses the status of Jean Monnet Modules for their innovation in teaching. Bogojević is also the Co-Director of the Master’s Programme in European Business Law.
Bogojević completed her doctoral studies at Corpus Christi College at Oxford University, attained her LLB with German Law from King's College London and Universität Passau, and obtained her LLM from College of Europe, Bruges. In her work, Bogojević spans over various subject areas with a focus on EU constitutional law and environmental law. Her key research interest lies in analysing interlinks and dichotomies between public and private spheres in law. To this end, she discusses the role of states and markets in emissions trading regimes in her book, 'Emissions Trading Schemes: Markets, States and Law', published by Hart Publishing (2013). Her current research looks at natural resource law and environmental rights more broadly with a similar focus on the public/private divide in environmental law. Her research is generously sponsored by the Swedish Research Council (Vetenskapsrådet) and the Ragnar Söderberg Foundation/Stiftelse.
