About Mark S. Hiatt

Mark S. Hiatt, Ph.D. is an assistant professor in the Department of Management and Entrepreneurship and the Program Director for the Executive MBA for Families in Business at Kennesaw State University in Kennesaw, GA.
I bring to KSU over 30 years of business experience having worked and consulted in a wide range of organizations and industries. My employment history includes several leadership and executive-level management positions within domestic and internationally based organizations and companies.
I have also founded four successful small business start-up companies. My consulting specialty areas include: corporate strategy development, mergers and acquisitions, organization change management, negotiation strategy, communication and leadership development/consulting.
My research interests include individual, organizational, and long-term leadership development programs as well as investigations into informal leadership situations.
I received my Ph.D. in Business Administration (concentration in Management) from Northcentral University. I earned my Masters degree in Management from the J.L.Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University and my Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from the US Military Academy at West Point, NY.
