About Marcus L Caylor

Marcus L. Caylor is Professor of Accounting at the Coles College of Business, Kennesaw State University, Kennesaw, Georgia. He received his Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 1998, his Master of Science in Economics from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 1999 and his Ph.D. in Accounting from Georgia State University in 2006.

Dr. Caylor has published in top accounting journals including The Accounting Review, Accounting, Organizations and Society, Journal of Accounting and Public Policy, Journal of Business Finance & Accounting and Review of Quantitative Finance and Accounting.

His research interests include the areas of earnings management, corporate governance, analyst forecasts and executive compensation.

His research has been cited and/or he has been quoted in numerous magazines and newspapers around the world such as the Atlanta Business Chronicle, Australian Financial Review, CFO Magazine, The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal. His research on corporate governance has been cited in proxy statements of several corporations.
