Joshua A. Shuart, Ph.D. is professor of Marketing and Sport Management in the Jack Welch College of Business at Sacred Heart University. Professor Shuart teaches primarily in the Sport Management program. He earned his Ph.D. in Sport Management from the University of Connecticut, an MA in English from St. Bonaventure University, and a BA in Communication Arts from Grove City College.

Prior to coming to Sacred Heart University, Professor Shuart worked as a Research Associate with the Laboratory for Leisure, Tourism & Sport in Storrs, CT. In 2003, he was named a Sam M. Walton Free Enterprise Fellow and worked with students as a Faculty Advisor to the Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE). He is a Faculty Mentor to the Men's Baseball team at Sacred Heart, and mentors several undergraduate and graduate Welch Scholars.

Dr. Shuart has consulted with numerous organizations, teams and corporations, including: ESPN, World Wrestling Entertainment, The Harlem Globetrotters, Madison Square Garden, and the Bridgeport Sound Tigers.

Dr. Shuart is the Associate Editor of the New England Journal of Entrepreneurship (NEJE).
