Dr. Heike Henderson joined the faculty at Boise State University in 1997, and has
made her mark on the University's German program by placing emphasis on the
integration of cultural understanding within language and literature courses. She holds a
Ph.D. in German Literature with a Designated Emphasis in Feminist Theory and Research
from the University of California, Davis. Her dissertation was entitled "Re-Reading
and Re-Writing Multiculturalism: Turkish Women Writers in Germany". Dr.
Henderson's major research interests include Turkish women writers in Germany, the
fall of The Wall and its literary aftermath, and food in contemporary German literature.
