Prior to joining Lincoln Memorial University Duncan School of Law on March 1, 2009 as Associate Dean, Professor of Law and Director of the Law Library, Gordon Russell was the founding Associate Dean for Library and Information Technology and Professor of Law at Charleston School of Law.

He has taught first-year Legal Research and Writing, Interviewing, Negotiation and Counseling, Mediation, Advanced Electronic Research, Advanced Legal Research and International Legal Research. For 10 years he taught legal research in offshore tax online for the International Off Shore Tax LL.M. program directed by William Byrnes.

Mr. Russell received his B.A. from Brigham Young University, M.L.S. from Brigham Young University, LL.B. from University of Western Ontario; J..D. from the University of New Mexico; and MBA from Lincoln Memorial University.

Mr. Russell was the keynote presenter at the American Association of Law Libraries Pre Conference Workshop in Philadelphia on Tired of Herding Cats? Re-image Your Law Library with ERM Best Practices in July, 2011.

Mr. Russell was a member of the AALL Academic Law Library Special Interest Section’s Task Force on the ABA Standards Review.

Mr. Russell was a member of the ABA Legal Education Law School Facilities Committee that planned the ABA Bricks and Bytes Conference, March 10-12, 2010 in Philadelphia and in San Diego, March 11-13 2012.

Mr. Russell is a Tennessee Rule 31 Mediator - Civil, Family and D/V and is a pro bono mediator with Community Mediation Center and is on the board of Community Mediation of East Tennessee.
