About Ziad Haidar, MD, FACOG

Dr. Ziad Haidar completed his medical training in Beirut, Lebanon, at the Lebanese University - School of Medicine. After completing his training, Dr. Haidar moved to the United States and completed his OB/GYN residency at West Virginia University, followed by his Maternal-Fetal Medicine fellowship in Houston at McGovern Medical School at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth).
Before pursuing Maternal-Fetal Medicine, Dr. Haidar was a general OB/GYN for seven years. During this time, he enjoyed the complex cases that challenged his critical thinking. The management of complex cases led to his decision to pursue an MFM fellowship to specialize in high-risk pregnancies and develop additional knowledge and skills that directly improve mothers' lives with complicated, high-risk pregnancies.
Dr. Haidar is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Maternal-Fetal Medicine. His clinical and research interests include morbidly adherent placentas and antenatal fetal diagnosis. In addition to delivering numerous twins, triplets and quadruplets, Dr. Haidar delivered a set of sextuplets in 2019, followed by a set of quintuplets only a few months later. Not only has Dr. Haidar managed and delivered numerous multiples, but he is a proud father to twin boys as well.
Dr. Haidar is a fellow of ACOG and a member of the Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine. He speaks English and is fluent in French, Lebanese and medical Spanish. When he is not working closely with patients, Dr. Haidar enjoys writing and spending time with his wife and three sons.
