About Zhi-Xue Xu

Zhi-Xue Xu was born in Shanghai, China. He is Chinese American. He has a good family. His wife is working in California State University, Northridge. He has one son and one daughter.

He obtained Master Degree in System Engineering from University of Arizona, Tucson in 1987. In April, 1990 he passed Written Ph.D. Qualifying Examination in Nuclear Engineering, College of Engineering, University of Arizona. He also got Master Degree in Mechanical Engineering that thesis was about Computer Big Data Applications for engineering operations from University of Texas, El Paso in 1984.
He has worked in Computer IT and Network fields about more than thirty years. His work experiences included Computer Software and Hardware Design, Internet Applications, Network Design and Academic Technology. He is certified to Microsoft System Engineer (MCSE) and Cisco Network Associate (CCNA). He had been worked as Computer programmer, Design Engineer and Software Engineer. He wrote source codes as Computer Programmer for NASA projects. He began to work as Director of Computer Resources, California State University, San Bernardino from 1995 to 1998. In 1998 he went to San Jose State University, and was working as Director of Business Computer Service with Information Technology Consultant (Expert). He was working on campus two buildings’ renovation project that included design, installations, configurations and administrations for T1 lines, network fiber backbone, routers and switches, domain controller servers, email server, web server, DNS server, and open computer labs and computer instruction classrooms.
He currently is working as Information Technology Service Support Lead, Academic Technology.
