EXTERIOR SURFACE TREATMENT: smoothed on the body and burnished on the rim

DECORATION: The rim has a simplified engraved scroll and circle motif repeated two times around the vessel. The scroll elements resemble the continuous scroll (see Thurmond 1990), but with scroll fill zones comprised only of excised triangles, and there are excised triangles on the central vertical engraved line of the scroll. The scroll elements alternate with engraved circles, each with small central excised diamonds within them.
