CORE COLOR: G (fired in a reducing environment and cooled in the open air)

INTERIOR SURFACE COLOR: black (10YR 2/1); organic residue on the rim and body

EXTERIOR SURFACE COLOR: light yellowish-brown (10YR 6/4); organic residue on the rim and body

WALL THICKNESS (RIM, BODY, AND BASE IN MM): 7.4 mm, rim

INTERIOR SURFACE TREATMENT: smoothed

EXTERIOR SURFACE TREATMENT: none

HEIGHT (IN CM): 15.6; 16.4 cm at the rim peaks

ORIFICE DIAMETER (IN CM): 16.0

DIAMETER AT BOTTOM OF RIM OR NECK (IN CM): 15.6

DECORATION: The vessel rim has three sets of widely-spaced tool punctations on the rim, as well as appliqued lugs below each of the rim peaks. The vessel body has alternating nested appliqued fillet diamonds and triangles repeated five times around the vessel. The appliqued motif extends to just above the vessel base.
