Assistant Professor, Accounting and Finance
Dr. Yunsen Wang received his Ph.D. from the Department of Accounting and Information Systems at Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey in May 2018. His research focused on designing accounting information systems and evaluating emerging techniques for audit analytics, including blockchain, deep learning, process mining, RPA, and cloud computing.
Dr. Wang’s research has been published in several leading academic journals, including Journal of Information Systems, International Journal of Accounting Information Systems, Accounting Horizons, and Journal of Emerging Technologies in Accounting. His research work has been presented at many high-quality academic conferences, including the American Accounting Association (AAA) Annual Meetings, the American Accounting Association (AAA) Midyear Meetings, Journal of Information Systems Conference, Rutgers World Continuous Auditing Research Symposium, and University of Waterloo CISA Biennial Symposium. Dr. Wang has taught many different courses, including Data Analytics in Accounting, Audit Analytics, Accounting Information Systems, Auditing, Financial Accounting, Cost Accounting, Intermediate Accounting, and ERP Sandbox Operation Simulation.
Dr. Wang received the Best Paper Award at Strategic and Emerging Technologies workshop at the annual American Accounting Association meeting in 2017, First Prize in the Teaching Award Competition, and Outstanding Educator Award in 2019.
