About Yuan Li

Dr. Yuan Li's main research field is organization theory. She develops conceptual models to understand paradoxical human conditions, such as: how do we imagine something new if all we know are already known; or: how can institutions change when we are not even aware that we are maintaining the same institutions? She has done empirical work on organizational change, the process of institutionalization, stigmatization, workplace inequality, and entrepreneurship. Central to these diverse topics is a focus on the cultural aspects of process dynamics. Yuan uses mixed methods research to generate qualitative and quantitative findings.
