Abstract

Digiti Sonus is an interactive fingerprint sound installation that transforms your fingerprints into a custom musical sound. Guests could explore their own identities through unique sounds generated by their spiral fingerprint patterns, based on algorithmic computing and a physical device that reads the spiral pattern like a record player reads a record. The result is a unique real-time musical sound that has been personalized and represents integrated human identities and societal communication. Guests could watch as their fingerprint is transformed into a unique musical sound and compare their result to that of friends, family or strangers!
