Abstract
Sequential or weighting procedures are utilized in solving multicriteria assignment problems with preemptive priorities. However, there are drawbacks to the use of these techniques. Sequential procedures are unable to maintain the structure of the problem while weighting techniques involves difficult computations. To remedy these problems, a sequential assignment procedure based on the implicit constraint method for network flow problems is developed. The procedure allows the maintenance of a problem's structure without the attendant computational difficulties.
