About Yishu Zhou

Dr. Yishu Zhou is an Assistant Professor in the Economics Department at Missouri S&T. He received PhD in Economics from the University of Connecticut.

Dr. Zhou has broad theoretical and empirical research interests in applied microeconomics. His recent research focuses on environmental economics and energy economics with an emphasis on environmental policy studies. In particular, he is interested in empirically investigating the effectiveness of regional environmental policies in the U.S. electricity wholesale markets aiming to reduce CO2 emissions.

Dr. Zhou's teaching interests include Microeconomics (all levels); Macroeconomics (intro level); Environmental and Natural Resource Economics; Mathematical Economics; Econometrics; Game Theory; and Business Calculus/Statistics.
