Abstract
Has the murder of George Floyd and other racist events compelled academic libraries to update their recruiting practices, especially of senior-level positions who serve as change agents for moving equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) initiatives forward? We will share the results of our study of academic library leadership job advertisements from U.S. institutions, with discussions on frequency and nature of identified EDI responsibilities, as well as overarching themes about institutional commitment to anti-racism and EDI. Attendees will also engage with job advertisement exemplars that demonstrate strong commitments to EDI.
