About Ya Mo

Joining Boise State University in 2018, Dr. Ya Mo is currently an assistant professor with the Department of Curriculum Instruction and Foundational Studies. She received a dual major Ph.D. in Measurement and Quantitative Methods and Curriculum, Instruction, and Educational Policy Programs, and an M.S. in Statistics from Michigan State University, as well as an Ed.M in TESOL from Boston University.  Dr. Mo’s current research focuses on state writing standards and assessments and what they indicate in terms of student achievement. She is currently a member of a number of professional organizations including the American Educational Research Association, the American Statistical Association, and the National Council of Teachers of English.
