My current research projects include an edited book on using multicultural literature in grades P-3, a collaborative longitudinal study on elementary preservice teachers’ beliefs about literacy instruction, a multi-institutional study on novice teachers’ knowledge of racial literacy, a multi-state study of teacher candidates’ memories of writing, a study of elementary teachers' literacy teaching experience during the pandemic, and an investigation of issues related to online literacy instruction.
