About Professor HO Wing-chung Clara

Professor Clara Wing-chung Ho is Head and Professor of Department of History as well as the co-chair of Gender Studies Concentration at Hong Kong Baptist University. While having a wide variety of research interests, Professor Ho's works focus on women and gender in imperial China. She has conducted several publication/conference projects which involved substantial international collaboration among scholars in the field of women/gender history, including the 2007 conference on the sources for Chinese women's history (http://www.hkbu.edu.hk/~histweb/cwh/) and the 2010 workshop/exhibition on engendering Chinese history (http://www.hkbu.edu.hk/~histweb/genderlens/), both resulted in published volumes. As a Hong Kong-educated scholar, she is very much committed to research projects and activities that will make Hong Kong count in the international academia. As the holder of the RGC-Fulbright Senior Research Award, she was a Visiting Professor at Northeastern University, Boston, in the 2012-13 academic year.
