About William Batson

Currently working at PVAMU School of Architecture as a tenured professor and Director of the PVAMU CURES (Community Urban and Rural Enhancement Services) Center. Specialized lecture and studio experience in twelve subjects. Research interests include architectural design and sustainability innovations, precision drawing and archival representation, and 3D laser scanning for the purpose of documentation and historic preservation. As Director of the CURES Center, I along with fellow faculty, staff, and students pursue active and ongoing pursue active and ongoing partnerships with residential, commercial, neighborhood citizens, property owners, and local businesses that may benefit from the application of the Center’s exceptional design service.

  • Gulf Coast Green 2021 Student Competition: 2nd Place winning team with PVAMU-SoA Undergraduate Students, Alexis Adjorlolo, Carlos Vivero, and Jimena Castellanos.
  • ‘46 Annual National Organization of Minority Architects Conference, Barbara G. Laurie Student Design Competition “Unbounded”. Chicago, IL. PVAMU-SOA students won Juror’s Choice Award.
  • Dwight D Eisenhower Transportation Scholarship 2021: My Undergraduate PVAMU-SoA student advisee, Jarvis Hawkins won first place in the 10,000-scholarship competition
