Wenjing Ouyang, PhD: Associate Professor of Finance, Eberhardt School of Business

Wenjing's research interests include corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, and financial markets and institutions. Her recent research examines female executives' role in corporate decisions. Wenjing has published research papers in peer-reviewed journals and presented research projects at national and international conferences. She is also an active reviewer for research journals and conferences.

Matthew Goodrid, MA: Alumnus, Health Exercise and Sport Sciences, College of the Pacific

Matthew Goodrid (he/him) graduated with his Master’s Degree in Health, Exercise and Sport Sciences at the University of the Pacific in 2018. During his time at UOP, Matthew completed a thesis entitled, Racial Complexities of Outdoor Spaces: An Analysis of African American’s Lived Experiences in Outdoor Recreation. His research has been downloaded over 10,000 times and continues to be a leading conversation note in the research of diversity in outdoor spaces. Since graduating, Matthew has moved to Denver where he works as a Director of a Boys & Girls club.


Kamio Jones: Doctorate of Education Candidate (Educational and School Psychology), Benerd College

Kamio Jones just finished working on her dissertation to complete her Ed.D in Educational Counseling Psychology at the University of the Pacific. She currently works as a School Psychologist for River Charter Schools in Yolo County. During her past 5 years at UOP she had the honor of being president of the Pacific School Psychology Association during the 2017-2018 academic year and she also worked as a student engagement representative for 3 years for the Pacific Alumni Association. In addition, in 2020 she was awarded the "Outstanding School Psychologist" award from Benerd College. In her past 5 years at UOP, she also had the opportunity to work with students in Natomas Unified School District and Elk Grove Unified School District. Overall, Kamio Jones is excited to share her findings from her dissertation and discuss what they may mean for future research and changes in education.
