About Wei Wang


Wei Wang, Ph.D., Assistant Professor of Finance at Monte Ahuja College of Business, received his doctoral degree in finance from University of Colorado - Boulder in 2008. He earned his master's degree in economics from University of Arkansas - Fayetteville in 2003, and bachelor's degree from University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) in 1995. Prior to his academic career, he had been a journalist working in regions like Afghanistan and Kashmir. 

Dr. Wang taught undergraduate, master's and doctoral courses at University of Colorado - Boulder and University of New Orleans before joining Cleveland State University in 2013. His research interests are in corporate finance, primarily security offerings, capital structure and corporate governance. Dr. Wang has published on reputable journals including Journal of Financial Economics, Review of Finance, Financial Review, Review of Financial Economics, Journal of Financial Research, and Financial Management.
