Abstract
This paper analyzes the patterns of Korean poetry using a computer algorithm, proposes a method to visualize the analyzed patterns as functional and artistic images using algorithm-based modeling, and reports the experimental research results. On the other hand, a poem is expressed as a tree that reveals the characteristics of the poem well, and at this time, the tree is automatically generated by a computer algorithm using the L-System. The painting created by mapping the linguistic code of Korean poetry into digital space helps to appreciate the poem by looking at it in a different space, while at the same time giving the pleasure of seeing it being used as a source of another work of art. The results of visualization experiments on the poems of Korea's representative poets Kim So-wol and Lee Sang showed that the proposed method can produce both functional and aesthetic results in terms of information delivery. In addition to the existing method of critically reading texts, this method of artistic visualization transformation of texts can arouse more readers' interest due to its entertainment elements, leading to a deeper discourse on Korean poetry, and It is meaningful in that it opens the possibility for foreigners who do not know Korean or who have difficulty in poetry to easily access Korean poetry.
