About Walter D Fernandez

I am Associate Professor and Co-Director of the National Centre for Information Systems Research at the College of Business and Economics, the Australian National University. I moved into academe in 2003 after a successful IT management career in the corporate sector. My research focus includes management of major projects, inter-organizational and interdisciplinary collaborative projects and achieving value from ICT investments. I am the Inaugural Chair of the Association of Information Systems Special Interest Group on Grounded Theory Methodology (GTM). I have delivered many GTM seminars and workshops in Australasia, America and Europe. I serve as a reviewer and as a board member of several international journals. At the moment I have two dogs, Fidel and Oso. On sunny days, I like to ride my red Yamaha 1100 Classic cruiser on Australia's country roads.
