About W. Bede Mitchell (Emeritus)


W. Bede Mitchell served as Dean and University Librarian at Georgia Southern University from August 1999 until his retirement in July 2019.   He earned his master’s degree in librarianship at the University of Michigan and his Ed.D. at Montana State University.  Prior to his appointment at Georgia Southern he was associate university librarian at Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina.  Bede also held positions at Montana State University and the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. | Former Faculty | Emeritus Faculty
