About Victor Birman

Dr. Victor Birman is Professor Emeritus of Mechanical Engineering and Director of Missouri S&T Global-St. Louis, formerly Engineering Education Center.

His research interests include composite structures and materials, smart materials and structures, functionally graded materials, sandwich structures, biomechanics, shape memory alloy composites, energy harvesting, piezoelectric transducers, structures subject to fire and other environmental effects, buckling, vibrations and dynamics, plates and shells.
