About Buenaventura (Ven) Basco

Ven Basco is responsible for building the library’s collection in all subject areas offered by the College of Engineering and Computer Science, outreach to faculty and students, and teaching information and research skills to faculty and students in the College of Engineering and Computer Science, select business courses, and other related subject areas. He provides individual and small group consultations to students, instructional sessions to specific classes, research support in both face to face and distance learning programs, and conducts workshops for specialized research areas.

Ven is actively involved with the Asian/Pacific American Librarians Association (APALA), International Relations Committee (IRC), International Relations Round Table (IRRT) and the Association of College and Research Libraries' (ACRL) Science and Technology Section.
