About Timothy Paul Westbrook, Ph.D.

Timothy Paul Westbrook is the director of the Center for Distance Education in Bible and Ministry and the Equip Program. Westbrook served as a missionary to Hungary from 1995-2003. Prior to working full time at Harding, he taught at Harding as a visiting missionary in residence for one year (2002-2003) and worked as the assistant editor for the Truth for Today Commentary series (2003-2005). Westbrook has served in multiple capacities at Harding under the College of Bible and Ministry, but from the beginning (2005) he was assigned to develop Harding's online Bible initiative, which has always been a major part of his work. Westbrook completed his MA in historical theology (2002) and his MDiv with and Old Testament concentration (2008) from Harding School of Theology. He earned his PhD in education and intercultural studies from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in 2015. His dissertation was published by Routledge with the title Spirituality, Community, and Race Consciousness in Adult Higher Education (2017). He is married to Dr. Anessa Westbrook (associate professor of Bible and Ministry), and they have 3 adult children. Westbrook's courses include general textual Bible classes, missions classes, and Christian Families.
