My research focuses on intersection of religion, human rights, and international relations theory. I am particularly interested in how Islamic actors advance their goals in international organizations. I teach classes on international relations, seminar on Islam and global politics, and Islam. I am also the Editor-in-Chief of Muslim World Journal of Human Rights. Muslim World Journal of Human Rights promises to serve as a forum in which barriers are bridged (or at least, addressed), and human rights are finally discussed with an eye on the Muslim world, in an open and creative manner.
