About Troyann I. Gentile

My research interests are expanding. I have been heavily involved in partnership with the NBCC and non-government organizations in Romania, to provide mental health facilitator trainings. One of my main research/service efforts has been helping to facilitate the development of counseling as a profession in Romania. I am committed to developing opportunities for students to gain more diverse clinical experiences at both the domestic and international levels. I also have a great interest in the ways in which groups and teams interact and perform at a systemic level. I am a self-proclaimed ‘groupie’. I am currently working on establishing a new model of group development. Lastly, I am interested in the integration of dialectical thought into counselor preparation, through the use of therapeutic documentation.
