I consider it a distinct privilege to work at Liberty University. At Liberty I have the unique opportunity to encourage and teach students from a biblical perspective. Furthermore, I can acknowledge each student’s distinctive position in all of creation and view every student as created in God’s image with the cognitive capacity to know God and respond to Him. The curriculum at a Liberty is biblically based, comprehensive, articulate, rigorous, and student centered. I strive to implement a variety of instructional strategies in my classes, all of which are designed to engage the minds of students, each of whom should be challenged, but not frustrated. I want my students to know they are cared for and listened to even if they do not always get an affirmative response to their request. Christian universities are able to nurture young adults while equipping them with a solid spiritual foundation and a distinctive Christian worldview. It is a honor to be a small part of this process!
I live in Virginia with my husband and four dogs. Both of my sons attend Liberty University. My husband is a teacher and coach at a local high school and he also teaches for LU as an online instructor. I completed a BS in Elementary Education from Liberty University, a M.Ed in School Counseling and an Ed.D in Educational Leadership from Wilmington University. I currently serve as Associate Professor and Director of Faculty Mentoring for the School Counseling program. I enjoy going anywhere tropical, going on cruises, the beach, reading, shopping, and spending time with my students, friends, and family.
