About Tony T. Luo

[Homepage] I am an Associate Professor and Associate Chair for Academic Affairs in the Department of Computer Science at Missouri S&T, where I am also a faculty investigator in research centers including the Intelligent Systems Center (ISC), Center for Intelligent Infrastructure (CII), High-Performance Computing Center (HPCC), and Center for Biology Research (CBR). Prior to joining Missouri S&T in December 2019, I was a Scientist and Program Lead at A*STAR, Singapore's largest research institute. I earned my Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the National University of Singapore (#8 by QS, #19 by Times Higher Education (THE), #26 by U.S. News in the latest World university rankings). My research revolves around Trustworthy AI and IoT, focusing on the interplay and synergetic potential of machine learning, cybersecurity, and IoT at their convergence. More specifically, my work encompasses adversarial machine learning, explainable and robust medical AI, secure federated learning, time series anomaly detection for IoT analytics and edge computing. I am a member of AAAI and ACM, and a Senior Member of IEEE. Visit this link for my up-to-date publications.
