Tonglu Li is Associate Professor of Chinese at Iowa State University. He received his Ph. D. from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2009. His primary research interest is 20th century Chinese literature and culture. Recently, he has been investigating the issues of belief and violence in the literary representation in modern China.
